Getting lucky in the Hollywood machine is so intoxicating and you immediately forget all the practical lessons that got you there. You think you’re different from everyone else and you can get lucky again. But we’re all on the same playing field now. Do your peers like what you’re doing or not? Thx for writing this.
Fortunately, my peers are very supportive of these pursuits and for the most part believe I’ve got the right idea about this stuff. Though there’s still some reticence about this being the best path because of where they are in their careers. It’s hard to start in a totally new space!
